Industry across the Western Trade Coast is committed to managing noise emissions within currently accepted standards.

Kwinana Industries Council (KIC) commissions cumulative noise modelling on behalf of industries within the Kwinana Industrial Area (KIA).

The most recent noise model was prepared in 2019 assess noise levels from nearby industry and track any change in noise emissions since the previous modelling in 2010. The 2019 study showed that on average industry noise from across the Kwinana Industrial Area had reduced in nearby communities.

With the industrial landscape continuing to change across the Western Trade Coast, including new projects planned for our premier heavy industrial area, the Kwinana Industries Council will continue to undertake noise monitoring assessments on behalf of its members.
